On Saturday 7 November, Clothing the Loop will be an opportunity to gather and share ideas and skills.
Get hands-on with the future of design.
Take part in workshops, tours, and family activities that encourage getting creative with textiles, repurposing materials, and building sewing skills.
Get involved in Auslan interpreted panels, a clothes swap, the Great Global Mend, and market stalls.
Celebrate circular and sustainable design practices across art, fashion, and the home.
Featured speakers include:

At the beginning of the month, ADP held our second

At the beginning of the month, ADP held our second Seeding Ground of 2026 lead by Jason Pearce and Pat Hayes Cavanagh.
Jason and Pat explored transformation in a broad sense, as well as focussing on the physicality of that transformation.
Seeding Ground is ADP's choreographic initiative that provides emerging choreographers with collaborating dancers, mentor, and space to explore ideas freely. Across a one week residency, artists develop their choreographic practice in a safe, artist-led environment.
“Having the opportunity to freely explore our ideas and be given this space is so vital to our creative process and this stage of our careers. Collaborating in this context has been a privilege.”

Clothing the Loop: Circular Design Festival is back in 2026!
A vibrant act of creative dissent transforming fashion, design and live performance into expressions of care, resistance and positive change, Clothing the Loop launches on the opening weekend of the 2026 @craftdesigncanberrafestival and will be held at @citcanberra
Experience spectacular inspiring performances, fashion parades, thought-provoking conversations, interactive workshops, installations, clothes swap, and architecture tours that harness the power of sustainable thinking.

Australian Dance Party is Canberra’s premier place-based, purpose-driven contemporary dance company. As we head into our next decade, we are looking for passionate, skilled leaders to guide our strategic direction, champion our artists, and amplify our impact.

Chris Carroll (@thetoffstuff) will be teaching physical theatre at ADP's pro classes for the next two weeks.
"Christopher draws on a 20-year practice in Physical Theatre incorporating the work of Jerzy Grotowski, Michael Chekhov and Jacques Lecoq, offering methods for improvisation that awaken the imagination and empower performers as creative artists. Bringing together theatre and dance (and welcoming performers of all disciplines), participants will be challenged to go beyond ideas of form and technique, charging their movement with the intensity, specificity, and personal connection that makes a performance truly alive."

ADP has been deep in creative mode this Winter her

ADP has been deep in creative mode this Winter here on Ngunnawal Country, commencing the development of The Archive at the National Film & Sound Archive (@nfsaonline)
We spent three weeks exploring wide ranging ideas of what it means to archive and notions of place/nature/architecture as an archive, the body as an archive, together with respect to the iconic film and sound collections and exhibitions.
Our process engaged in research, discussions with NFSA collections, First Nations and engagement staff, and a yarning circle with Ngunnawal Elder Aunty Caroline Hughes informing our daily theatre, music and dance making practice.
The three weeks culminated in a showing through the NFSA’s rooms, hallways and galleries where we were able to share and test our developing performance ideas.
