Gabriela Green

Gabriela is an activist, dance artist and producer who works across many mediums and in inclusive environments. As a daughter and granddaughter of a refugee family who fled a US backed Pinochet Dictatorship, her work responds to the ideas of cross-cultural identity and the transitional space of belonging to community and place. Most recently, Gabriela is interested in Dance as Activism and has been developing this practice as PACTโ€™s 2021 solo resident artist, March Dance Ausdance Dance Artist in Residence 2022 and in performance opportunities such as Intimate Spectacleโ€™s Out of ISO Again, Juxta and Nexus at Bankstown Arts Centre and as she mashes up her Latinx identity as a dancer with Emma Saundersโ€™ We Are Here company โ€“ Performing in ENCOUNTER Sydney, Sydney Opera House and Radical Transparency with Form Dance Projects at Riverside Theatres. Gabriela is a part of the MindsEye collective with Holly Craig and Imogen Yang, dedicated to experimental, participatory and inclusive dance work. MindsEye collective presented a work in progress at the Live Dreams event as part of the Liveworks Festival with Performance Space in 2021.
