Jane Ingall

Jane is a performer, teacher, choreographer and director. Coming to professional dance practice later than most, she is loving her dance life! She founded and leads Somebody's Aunt, an ensemble of improvising women creating dance-theatre in the Canberra region since 2005. Jane is Co-Director of GOLD, over 55s dancers at Canberra Dance Theatre. As a member of the ZEST Dance For Wellbeing team in the ACT, Jane has been teaching dance classes since 2014 for people living with Parkinson’s, seeing their joy of participation in this art form and the benefits to health and wellbeing. Jane’s professional work has encompassed establishing Parents, Tinies and Toddlers Dance; co-founding the inclusive dance classes at CDT for teens; teaching Dance in Arts Education, UC; teaching movement for actors, CADA; and developing movement in learning about group dynamics, communication, and body image issues.
