Nicci Haynes

Nicci Haynes is a visual artist for whom live drawing in collaboration with dancers and musicians has become a significant component of a diverse practice. Performing at events in which experimental languages spontaneously emerge between creative disciplines, acts of instantaneous composition and inventive improvisations lead audiences on wild, immersive journeys.
Her experimental films, which act as vehicles for capturing liveness and movement, are screened internationally. She has won and been a finalist in many high-profile awards, and has work held in collections that include National Gallery of Australia and the State Library of Queensland.
Nicci lives and works on unceded country of Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri peoples.
