STEFANIE LEKKAS is a Canberra-based actor, theatre-maker and voiceover artist whose background is mainly in physical theatre. While much of Stefanieโ€™s acting credits have taken place in traditional theatres, such as Plastic Bags Are So Bad (2011), Antigone (2016), Noises Off (2016) and The Street Theatreโ€™s Metamorphosis (2019), she has also performed outdoors, in national institutions and online, most notably with the Off-Broadway theatre Urban Stages in the award-winningHeroes and Villains Monologues (2021). Stefanieโ€™s previous site-specific work includes SKIN (2015), performed at the National Portrait Gallery; the outdoor Four Day Oedipus (2015), a moved reading part of The Public Theatre installation in Civic Square; the ensemble piece poem every day (2017), performed at Ainslie Arts Centre; and taking on the role of Angela, a 1970s parliamentary hairdresser, in We, The People (2019) at Old Parliament House.
