STEFANIE LEKKAS is a Canberra-based actor, theatre-maker and voiceover artist whose background is mainly in physical theatre. While much of Stefanieโs acting credits have taken place in traditional theatres, such as Plastic Bags Are So Bad (2011), Antigone (2016), Noises Off (2016) and The Street Theatreโs Metamorphosis (2019), she has also performed outdoors, in national institutions and online, most notably with the Off-Broadway theatre Urban Stages in the award-winningHeroes and Villains Monologues (2021). Stefanieโs previous site-specific work includes SKIN (2015), performed at the National Portrait Gallery; the outdoor Four Day Oedipus (2015), a moved reading part of The Public Theatre installation in Civic Square; the ensemble piece poem every day (2017), performed at Ainslie Arts Centre; and taking on the role of Angela, a 1970s parliamentary hairdresser, in We, The People (2019) at Old Parliament House.
