Hyper Real Nights

What

What is it to be human? How do the movement and postures of our bodies give us life, character, age and beauty?

Drawing inspiration from the jaw-dropping artworks in the National Gallery of Australia’s Hyper Real, Australian Dance Party harnessed the power and playfulness of the moving body whilst travelling through the exhibition.

Lingering in Patricia Piccinini’s extraordinary video installation, The Breathing Room 2000, the dancers interacted with the audience to create a dynamic response to the artist’s fascination with evolution and ethics.

Supported by the National Gallery of Australia and QL2 Dance as a company in residence.
